On a recent episode of the podcast Alien Agenda, Dave Hayes (Praying Medic) discussed a variety of different metaphysical and spiritual topics, including the nature of alleged extraterrestrials and angels. During the interview one of the hosts, Ron Watkins (CodeMonkeyZ) asked Dave directly if he thought aliens were actually demons/fallen angels. Check out his response:
Host: So I want to bring this back to aliens for a second. When you forwarded some of the Alien Leaks content to your channel, I was reading the comments and it seemed to be the general consensus of the people in your comment section, that aliens are just fallen angels or demons.
Alien Agenda podcast – “Praying Medic- The Dave Hayes Interview”
Dave: Right.
Host: So in a sense could it be that we are being possessed by aliens to do evil deeds?
Dave: No. That’s the subject I really wanted to get around to talking about. So the “fly in the ointment” for Christians who think that aliens are demons or fallen angels is this: Angels/demons/evil spirits don’t have a physical body. Demons are disembodied spirits and angels are spiritual beings that are sort of “free agents”. None of them have physical bodies. When they’re wandering around on Earth you don’t see them. You don’t see demons walking down the street. You don’t see angels walking down the street. They’re invisible because they don’t have a physical body. If a colony of aliens came to Earth in a spaceship and you could go out and feel their bodies and they could go out and sit in a chair and they could drink water, that’s a physical body that’s NOT a demon. That’s not an angel (laughter). Angels and demons don’t have physical bodies. So the number one problem for the idea that if aliens came here to Earth they would have to be angels or demons, the problem is, I’m assuming if aliens came here they would have physical bodies, and demons and angels don’t.
This take by Dave Hayes was quite surprising, and a bit concerning, given Dave’s otherwise solid Christian background. There is no doubt that Dave is a genuine Christian who is doing God’s work. However, nobody’s perfect, and it’s important that as we approach the Last Days that we make sure our spiritual armor doesn’t have any gaps for the enemy to exploit. If the Last Days deception by Lucifer is a fake alien invasion/salvation, which I believe to be the case, then theological errors such as this will play right into the enemy’s plan and Christians will be deceived.
Let’s take a look at a few Biblical examples that prove that angelic beings do indeed have physical bodies.
Angels Eat with Lot in Sodom
1Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.” 3But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
Genesis 19:1-3
This story from Genesis is quite clear that angels absolutely have physical bodies. In this case the angels not only spoke with Lot face-to-face, but they even ate food with him. A disembodied spirit couldn’t do these things according to Mr. Hayes. Furthermore, later on in the chapter we see that the people of Sodom also saw these angels (proof that they weren’t just a hallucination in Lot’s head) and the people of Sodom were even trying to break into Lot’s house to sexually assault these angels. Not something these depraved people would do if the angels were just disembodied spirits.
An Angel Touches Elijah
5Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.”
1 Kings 19:5
Yet another straight-forward Biblical example of an angelic being interacting with a human in a physical way. In this case the angel was able to touch Elijah, wake him up, and then verbally speak with him.
Resurrected Jesus Interacts With Peter
11Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. 13Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. 14This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.
John 21:11-14
As Christians we look forward to the day when we are either resurrected or transformed into our glorified bodies, bodies like the one Jesus had when He was raised from the dead. These “glorified bodies” are akin to the bodies of angels (both holy and fallen). So if Christ Jesus in His glorified, resurrected body could interact with His disciples by handing them objects, then why do some Christians like Dave Hayes dismiss the idea of angels having physical bodies?
There are many other examples throughout the Bible of angels physically interacting with humans. Sometimes they eat and drink, sometimes they talk, sometimes they touch, other times they actually go out and physically KILL humans! Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden the human race has lost our perception of the “spiritual dimension”. This means we cannot naturally perceive other beings that exist in the spiritual realm, like angels (fallen or otherwise). Occasionally God can open our eyes to see the spiritual dimension that is normally invisible to us. Other times it seems that angels can “shift” into our physical dimension in order to visibly appear, speak and interact with humans.
17Then Elisha prayed and said, “LORD, please, open his eyes so that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2 Kings 6:17
31Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed all the way to the ground. 32Then the angel of the LORD said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way was reckless and contrary to me. 33But the donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If she had not turned away from me, I certainly would have killed you just now, and let her live.” 34So Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, “I have sinned, for I did not know that you were standing in the way against me. Now then, if it is displeasing to you, I will turn back.”
Numbers 22:31-34
Just because fallen angels inhabit a different dimension than us, normally making them invisible and undetectable, doesn’t mean that they can’t make themselves appear to us physically. In fact, the ability to take different forms and shift back-and-forth between the spiritual and physical dimensions will be the cornerstone of Lucifer’s “alien” deception in the Last Days. By showing off their abilities to exist in both the physical and spiritual realms, fallen angels will perform great signs and wonders to try to deceive humanity. Christians like Dave Hayes need to re-evaluate their careless theology on the nature of angels because otherwise they, and anyone who listens to them, will be easily deceived by Lucifer and his legion of fallen angels posing as extraterrestrials.
Your assessment is spot on. Angels have a spiritual body and a terrestrial body as described by Paul in 1 Cor 15:40. The Lord has also given me the same word about how the “aliens” will be used in the great deception. This is why so many Christians will be lead astray during the final days. They don’t read their Bibles and have no discernment out of ignorance. The great “Falling Away” will be when so many luke warm Christians denounce and leave the faith for false doctrines of the world.
